Paula Kovatovich
Kitchen & Bath Designer, AKBD
Paula is The Hearth Room’s first employee, starting with the company over five years ago. As a nationally-certified Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer, she collaborates with the project’s lead interior designer to incorporate style with functionality. With over seven years of experience in kitchen and bath design, she holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science for Interior Design from Alexandria Technical College and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD). Paula understands the key to her success when designing is to listen, understand the clients' needs, and “have the outcome exceed both my expectations and the clients’.”
Paula has actively contributed to the completion of many new construction and remodeling projects, both homes and businesses. One of her most notable projects was the work she did on the new Sunset Knoll Family Retreat located on the Whitefish Chain, MN. This project recently won both state and national awards for its design. Paula was also awarded as winner of the Medallion Cabinetry contest in 2006 for her kitchen design on a new lake home, which was published in Kitchen Trends Magazine (volume 22, number 3).
Some of the more recent commercial projects she has completed kitchen and bath designs for include Arbor Glenn Apartments, Cypress Court Apartments, both in Baxter, MN, and the Burlington Bay condos at Superior Shores Resort in Two Harbors, MN.
