Erin Mattison Interior Designer Erin is one of the newest additions to the interior design team at The Hearth Room. She has nearly 10 years of experience designing for both homes and commercial spaces. However, her specialty is residential interior design. She has previously worked with a number of builders on small renovations and large-scale remodel projects. Prior to joining The Hearth Room, she worked in the Twin Cities area mainly designing higher-end homes, many of which have been featured on the Twin Cities Luxury Home Tour. She has also done staging for homes on the spring and fall Twin Cities Parade of Homes. Some of her work has even been featured in Minneapolis Magazine. Erin’s combination of past work experience in the lending industry, as realtor, and as a project manager has given her a well-rounded understanding of the construction industry and building processes. She believes this knowledge to be an asset when working with clients. She prides herself on listening to and thoroughly understanding the client’s needs and wishes to blend her creativity and skills with their vision. “Understanding the client and earning their trust is step one,” she explains, “and then you must have the interpersonal skills to take the job from step one to completion.” Erin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. There she became an active member of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) and is currently an allied member.
